Mr. Silverman also serves as Adjunct Professor in the R.H. Smith School of Business in the University of Maryland where he teaches Capstone and MBA courses.
Prior to joining InferX Corporation, Mr. Silverman served as CEO of Sante Corporation, a privately held company developing new personalized health management systems and services to improve today’s health care system.
Mr. Silverman has a highly diversified and successful track record spanning 35 years serving as an experienced senior corporate management executive, global management consultant, public and private company CEO, adjunct professor and entrepreneur. He typically provides support in areas management consulting, executive management, strategy planning, capital formulation strategies, new financing, global business development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, and new venture development. In May 2009, the Obama administration invited Mr. Silverman to consider a possible appointment in the administration to assist in areas of homeland security or health care- information for the appointment process was submitted.
Mr. Silverman’s has held senior executive management and advisory positions in a wide range of technology areas including health care systems, telecom, security, next generation analytics, wireless services, information systems, satellite services, e-commerce, M2M networks, imaging technology among others. Recently Mr. Silverman served as a management advisor to several companies pursuing new health care and homeland security applications including a company pursuing the use of next generation interactive gaming technology for physical therapy, rehabilitation and treatment of PSTD, and other psychological disorders. In 2009, Mr. Silverman was invited to assist in the launch and financing of a new venture developing personalized medicine technologies using predictive modeling based on genetic biomarkers and genetic mapping. Mr. Silverman was also invited to assist in the development of a planned new national emergency medical response and triage network to improve the nation’s response to pandemics, natural disasters and terrorism.
Mr. Silverman has served in senior management positions with major information industry firms including RCA, GTE, Xerox and IBM (SBS) where he served as General Manager for International Services. He also has more than ten years experience serving in senior global management consulting positions with Coopers & Lybrand, Booz Allen and Hamilton, and James Martin Strategy, where he served as CEO for North America reporting to global HQ in Amsterdam. Mr. Silverman has also accepted invitations to teach undergraduate and MBA entrepreneurship, management strategy and global business courses at three leading universities since 2002.
Mr. Silverman is well known in the global information industry and venture community. He has conducted hundreds of presentations worldwide and published numerous articles addressing strategy, policy and new business development issues.
Mr. Silverman is the author of Worm on a Chopstick: Understanding Today's Entrepreneurial Age: Directions, Strategies, Management Perspectives (“Chopstick”), published in August 2011, the first of a three book series sharing perspectives on today’s “disruptive” entrepreneurial age changes, and offering strategies helping both traditional and emerging companies address today’s challenges and opportunities.
Mr. Silverman holds a BS in Physics from CCNY and an MS in Management from Polytechnic University of New York and resides in the Northern Virginia area.

He brings to InferX proven skills in developing and executing strategic plans for advanced privacy preservation in emerging markets. Mr. Gogia established InferX in 1999 to commercialize distributed data mining software developed at Datamat Systems Research, Inc.; a research and development firm he founded in 1992 to develop advanced analytical solutions for government agencies, particularly the Defense Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), National Geo-Spatial Agency (NGA), Department of the Navy and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). Prior to this, he served as Technical Director/Software Manager at Science Applications International Corporation, and held a senior technical position with Lockheed Martin. He began his career as a systems engineer and software developer with Data General in the field of compilers and operating systems.
Mr. Gogia is a graduate of the prestigious Mindshare program for CEOs of the most promising technology companies in the greater Washington, D.C. area. He holds a Master's of Science degree in Computer Science from New York Institute of Technology and a postgraduate management degree with a major in Marketing from The Institute of Marketing and Management, India; he earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Delhi, India.
